I love that the town of my birth and which is where I live again has this beautiful miniature statue of the Statue of Liberty. Enjoyed showing it to my grandson on Memorial Day.

This is one of the 8.5' replicas of the Statue of Liberty which were donated by Boy Scouts to celebrate the Scouts' 40th anniversary in 1950. Over 200 were originally in place and at least 26 remain in Kansas - more than any state except Iowa.

All of the ones in the country were purchased through the Kansas City Boy Scout office.

This one is in Garnett, Kansas.

Yesterday (Sunday), May 25th, would have been Brownie Wise’s 113th Birthday! 🌺🌺🌺

We honor her....the amazing Woman who started it all....the Home Party! She was the first VP of Tupperware, the FIRST woman on the cover of Business Week.....and SO MUCH MORE! She may not be with us any longer, but we still honor her amazing legacy...and the road she paved for each one of us in “Direct Sales”. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again....”we stand on the shoulders on giants”! Thank you, Brownie.....we honor you today and always!
