I plan to de-activate my business page; (nanreynoldscreations) as soon as I can figure out how to do it. I will try and do a better of job of posting my creations on my personal page (Nan Reynolds). I also have a Pinterest page () so check that out as well. It's just too much for me to keep up with having two pages....I will still be around!! This second little queen bee will find a home on a desk somewhere in Charlotte. My daughter commissioned this piece to give to a co-worker who loves bees (and who doesn't)! I cut out an orange piece of glass and put felt feet on the bottom to protect the glass, it's supposed to represent a flower the bee is sitting on. Made two honeycombs for a client of mine. The first one the queen bee was incorporated into the pattern of the H/C. The second one I made a stand alone queen bee and soldered her into the honeycomb making it a Three-D sun catcher. Turned out beautifully and the customer was very pleased. I painted the black lines and the lines on the wings in the first one but on the three-D one, I used black backed copper foil on the underside of the bee's bottom and used 24ga wire embellishment on the wings. This is something I worked on today....Turned out pretty good for a first try incorporating wire into a piece. Used 16 gauge square copper wire tinned with solder and applied Jax Pewter Patina and waxed it.
