We are full of gratitude for the turn out and kind words at our Grand Opening.

More than 400 people made their way through the church during our first day. The building held up perfectly, as we thought. Now the fun begins as the community begins to use the space. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

6" Red, Black, Gray & Silver bouquet - with just a touch of bling.
This was made from satin, organza, tulle & some upcycled vintage jewelry.

I handmake each flower, petal by petal. Just as in nature, no two Gypsy Bug bouquets are ever exactly the same. Similiar, yes - but never the exact same.

I also make corsages, boutonnieres & hair accessories. Keep an eye out for more items coming soon!

I was Today Years Old when I found out hot glue guns make a sizzling sound when dropped into a cup of coffee...

My husband asked me how long it takes to make a bouquet. I gave him an honest answer, "No clue. It depends on the willingness of the materials, amount of inspiration & time spent administering first aid."

Each bouquet starts with individual flowers that I make by hand from fabric, wire, glue & a stocked First Aid kit. (Anyone who's worked with wire and/or hot glue understands why a First Aid kit is mandatory.)

Some flowers can't want to bloom into existence, while others fight me every inch of the transformation. Some wire bends to my will at the speed of light - others at the speed of my husband. Sometimes I grab the First Aid kit saying "that could have been much worse" & other times I remind myself that skin (thankfully!) grows back...

Then there's the assembly, bling, holder & other finishing touches.

Next time he asks me how long it takes I'm going to tell him the truth, "As long as it takes to be what it's meant to be."
