Our Story

Hi and welcome! I'm Michele the creator of Novus Candela where you'll find beautifully natural candles, wax tart clamshells, soaps, and essential oils. I live in Gatlinburg, TN and I'm a stay-at-home wife. Gatlinburg is a mountain town in eastern Tennessee known for its beautiful Great Smoky Mountains, National Park. It's a great place to live and work.

I have an associate degree in business and computers but since my illness, I needed to find something fulfilling to do at home so I tried my hand at making candles and I absolutely loved it. Making up blends of pure and natural essential oils that not only create the most beautiful aromas but have health benefits too, is so interesting and satisfying. I'm now a certified aroma-therapist and have done much research into which essential oils and ingredients are best for body and mind. In the process of helping myself to get better, I'm also helping others and that is a joyful feeling.

A little while ago, I was lucky enough to have been rated 'gift and specialty shop for 2017' on TripAdvisor. I also carry this ethos here on Facebook plus Etsy and pride myself on making not only quality products but products that will have a positive effect on the lives of my customers.
