Honestly, I’ve been so stressed out about selling everything to everyone that I forgot one of the most important things- who my customer actually IS.
You’re an ARMY who is a professional, often working in a space that doesn’t understand the love we feel for these seven men who have touched our lives in so many ways.
You’ve struggled to find your equilibrium in a world that wants to crush us, and you’ve survived and thrived because of the words of Kim Namjoon and Min Yoongi when they told you that it was okay to doubt and to be afraid, but that no matter how thorny the road is, run.
You’ve thrived because you’ve listened to Kim Seokjin, and Jung Hoseok when they laughed more loudly than society says we should.
You’ve bloomed like a wildflower in the middle of a concrete landscape because you listened to Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung when they were unapologetically themselves in a world that shoves us into identical little boxes.
You challenged yourself when you watched Jeon Jungkook grow up from a shy kid hiding behind his hyungs to a brilliant, determined man who is forging his own path despite society telling him he is supposed to fit into a mold cast when he was 15.
The fact that my designs aren’t the same thing you see when you browse the K-pop spaces online appeals to you, because you know that you deserve to stand up and stand out, while still representing your love for BTS no matter where life takes you. You can enjoy the cute and quirky merchandise, of course you can, but you can also walk into a meeting with one of my bag charms on your purse or briefcase because they’re elegant and beautiful- just like you.
With that said, I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to wear to the concerts, and came up with a Texas-Korean fusion norigae-style ornament to hang off a bag or belt. The Texas-specific one is the iconic outline of the Lone Star state, with seven blooming mugunghwa flowers, along with a handmade coordinating tassel. These will seamlessly transition from the concert to your everyday purse or briefcase.
Each of these is handmade by me in my studio. I cut the acrylic, I make the tassels and the beaded accents, and then assemble them. These aren’t designed in Texas and assembled overseas, and I’m not going to apologize for pricing them so I can pay for my time and my supplies.
These are $30, and I offer flat-rate shipping worldwide.
I’ve seen a lot of folks asking how to add something honoring the Korean roots BTS has so proudly shown us with this tour and album, and I decided to try making a norigae fusing both Texas pride and Korean love and came up with this norigae-style ornament. There are three styles available now, bu
