Natural Bull Rush vs. Fiber Rush

While natural bull rush and fiber rush look very similar when woven, they are made from completely different materials and are intended for different uses.

* Bull rush is made from natural seagrass that is twisted into a cord for weaving. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

* Fiber rush is made from brown kraft paper that is machine-twisted into a weaving cord. It is intended for indoor use only.

So, while the finished products may look similar, the important difference is where the chair or piece will be used. For outdoor applications, natural bull rush is the appropriate choice; for indoor furniture, either material can provide a similar traditional woven appearance.

So the only question that remains is, “What can we re-do for you?”

The past two weeks have been productive. Just finished a set of 6 natural woven seagrass rush seat bottoms. The smell of the fresh twisted grass is amazing. In time it will loose the green tint and dry to a beautiful warm wheat color. They’re ready for another 30 years of service. What can we redo for you?
