I know this economy is tough. Our youngest graduated from college last year, and we thought we would be able to lower our grocery budget since we didn't need to help him any more. That became a fantasy since prices skyrocketed.

As I plan for the holiday season, I am thinking of ideas to provide unique, budget conscious gift ideas. This week I created a holiday card using cyanotype printing and a single pressed gomphrena as the tree topper. It is printed on archival paper, the same as my prints. Use it as a card or frame it.

You will see this card in the Starving Artist show in Miamisburg on Saturday from. 2pm-7pm. You can also find it on my website, www.pollinatorsandposies.com.

I have loved learning since I can remember. I loved going to school. I enrolled in 8am college classes. While working in information technology, I read white papers, research articles, tech specs, journals, etc. and went to conferences to learn and explore new ideas.

Now that I am in my creative phase of life, I take classes to learn different art forms. Ikebana captured my interest a few years ago. I discovered a local class at the and immediately registered.

Here is my first solo arrangement with flowers from my yard. What do you think?
