I love the warmth and nostalgia of the homes we grew up in, but I also love mixing old and new to create something that feels like me.

Around here, it’s a little vintage, a little modern, lots of DIY, and making the most of what we have along the way.

Somehow I always find my way back to peel-and-stick tile, beadboard, and, as much as I try to branch out, blue paint. Always blue paint.

The walls and floors make up so much of what we see in a room, so they’re always my favorite place to start. You can make such a big impact without spending a fortune.

We’re in the home stretch of our bathroom project, and I can’t wait to show you more.

Apparently even our digital calendar wasn’t safe from my need to make everything a little more charming. 😅

Just a mom slowly making our home feel more collected, cozy, and us. One unnecessary (but absolutely necessary) DIY at a time.

A little DIY frame made our Skylight feel right at home in our gallery wall.

Who says a family command center can’t be pretty?

A little vintage art, a wall candle, and a few decorative plates made this functional little corner so much more fun.

I even made a DIY frame for our Skylight to help it blend in with the gallery wall.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over watching these four love each other. 🥹

Feeling especially grateful for them tonight. Life is far from perfect, but as cliché as it sounds, we have each other. And I’m so grateful for that.

And his little wave that lasts the entire time he’s running toward them? Makes my heart skip a beat every single time. 🤍

Anyone else find their own bedroom to be the hardest room to design?

I think it’s because I want it to feel just right, which somehow makes committing to anything so much harder!

We’re still wrapping up our bathroom refresh, but I’m already dreaming about what’s next. Sometimes all it takes is finding one piece you love to give a room some direction, and these beautiful curtain samples from RAWLUNE might be just that for me!

Bathroom refresh part 2!

Turns out I love trim work almost as much as having a functioning toilet. 😂

After doing my makeup in the hallway and getting my steps in every time I needed the bathroom, I was VERY motivated to get this part finished.

The floors are down, the trim is up, and we’re finally starting to see this little bathroom come together!

Still plenty to do, but I’m loving the progress. Next up: PAINT!
