If you know me, you know I’m a fan. Not for the spectacle of the The Eras Tour, but for her commitment to the craft, especially when it’s an uphill battle.

I admire her ability to reinvent herself again and again, to treat her craft like a business, and to keep going no matter what. Being a woman in a creative space isn’t easy, but with perseverance and the courage to stay the course, you build something meaningful.

Her interview really hit, especially her explanation of her song, “Mirrorball.” People see in you what they see in themselves. The same is true in design. We create spaces that are beautiful and meaningful, but more importantly, they reflect you back to yourself.

Find the good people. Lift them up. Celebrate them while doing the work.

A little flashback to 2015. This video, captured by the incredibly talented , marked the five-year anniversary of the experiential agency, OutCold, that and I started in April 2010.

Seeing these events and experiences reminds me that while the “canvas” has changed from marketing to interiors, the intent is identical. At , we still focus on the authenticity and specific details that make a space feel truly lived-in. Our goal is to create environments that facilitate conversation and the real-life experiences that happen within them. Homes that are just as beautiful to look at as they are soulful and comfortable to live in.

I’m so proud of what we built then and so grateful for the people who helped build it with us.
