A wallpaper lookbook.

I've been deep in vendor catalogs lately, and these are the prints I keep pulling back up. Some are classic. One is a wall of golden retrievers in gilded frames and I regret nothing.

Swipe through and tell me which one you'd love to live with!

People assume a designer has "a style." I have several, and I think that's the better way to do this work.

Moody or bright, traditional or unexpected- if it's well made and it feels like you, it's on brand.

A beautiful home and a lived-in home are not opposites. They just need the right containers.

Swipe through for five storage pieces that do double duty: they hide the chaos and they earn their spot on the shelf. Because "put it away" only works if "away" is somewhere you don't mind looking at.

Punctuate Your Style. Yes, it's a pun. Yes, I'm that person.

Before I ever hung a swatch board or sourced a single antique, I was an English teacher- the kind who got a little too excited about semicolons and made my students defend their thesis statements like their lives depended on it. Grammar wasn't just a rule set to me, it was a way of shaping something messy into something that made sense. Turns out, that's design too.

So when it came time to name this business, "Punctuate Your Style" wasn't just a cute play on words, it was the whole philosophy. A room, like a sentence, needs the right pauses. The right emphasis. A little personality tucked in where you least expect it.

All of which is to say: it feels only right that The Shop hosts a monthly book club. Grab a dish for the potluck, bring your opinions on the ending, and come sit with fellow readers who understand that a good story (or a good room) is all in the details.

September's pick is The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett.

Summer has a way of sneaking out the back door while you're still in it.

This one held a little bit of everything- projects I'm proud of, fabric and finish choices that made a room feel finished, a shop that's still settling into its new home, and a few days that had nothing to do with work at all (see: slide 5, no regrets).

Swipe through for the season, in no particular order. Consider this my exhale before fall content starts. I have a feeling this next season is going to be a good one.

If you're thinking about a project of your own before the leaves turn, link in bio to grab time on my calendar. I'd love to hear what you're dreaming up.

Happy National Dog Day from the actual bosses of Punctuate Your Style: Bentley and Phoebe.

They don't care about mood boards. They care about whether the water's too cold, whether that's champagne they're missing out on, and whether there's a nap spot with their name on it. And honestly? Every fabric I choose, every rug, every "will this survive real life" decision- it starts with these two.

Nine animals in this house will teach you a lot about designing for how people (and goldens) actually live.

The kitchen and primary bath get all the budget and all the glory. Meanwhile the entryway, the mudroom, the laundry room- the spaces you actually touch every single day- get whatever's left over, which is usually nothing.

I get it. Nobody's Pinterest board is titled "hallway inspo." But a home doesn't feel finished because of the rooms you show off. It feels finished because every room got thought through, including the ones you walk past without noticing.

Swipe through for the spaces I always tell clients not to skip, and the one small move that changes each one.

Which one's been on your ignore list? Tell me below.

Hardware is the one thing most people decide in five minutes and live with for twenty years.

It deserves more than five minutes.

I have been obsessed with vintage and antique-inspired hardware for as long as I have been designing- the patina, the weight, the detail that makes a cabinet feel like a piece of furniture instead of a box with a door on it. There is nothing that replicates it.

This lookbook is a roundup of the styles and sources I keep coming back to, from unlacquered brass pulls with an aged finish to original antique k***s sourced from salvage. Swipe through and save the ones that stop you.

And if you are currently staring at a pile of builder-grade satin nickel pulls wondering why your kitchen doesn't feel right yet, this might be your answer.

To the builders in our area- this one is for you.

I have been on enough job sites to know that the projects that run smoothly and finish beautifully have one thing in common: a designer was brought in before the build started, not after the problems showed up.

When we are involved early, selections are ready when your crews need them. Change orders shrink because we caught the issues in planning. The client is informed, decided, and genuinely easier to work with. And everybody knows exactly who is responsible for what, so nothing falls through the cracks.

That last part matters more than people realize. One of the most important things we do at the start of any project is clearly delineate what the designer handles, what the contractor owns, and what stays with the client. A project with clear roles runs better. Full stop.

The best builders I have worked with understand that a great designer makes their job easier and their finished product stronger. That is not a vendor relationship. That is a partnership.

If you are building in Chester County or on the Main Line and you do not have a designer on your team yet, let's talk about changing that.
