Slack Tide EVERY DESIGN GIVES BACK! Read the item description to learn more about the non-profit it donates to! No two are alike! Message us for more details!

It all started in 2015, when Annie Markwith made her Uncle a hand carved Rockfish for Christmas. She enjoyed crafting the fish so much, she has since then perfected the process and expanded into other species of fish! Having grown up on the Chesapeake Bay, and studied Marine Biology at UNC Wilmington, its hard to keep her away from the water. She has learned a lot of the woodworking craft from her father. She wouldn't be where she is today with out the support of her wonderful family and friends. If you would like a fish that will last a lifetime, then look no more!

I had a lot of fun painting these Jacks! They reminded me of the Crevalle Jacks I’d see under dive boats down in the Caribbean.

Fun facts:
-Fast swimming, sometimes called “canal tuna” because they fight like a tuna when you catch them.

-Blood contains high levels of a green pigment called biliverdin, giving it a green tint!

-Sharp, bony plates called scutes along their lateral line near the tail, which act like armor.

-They croak by grinding their teeth together while releasing gas from their air bladder!
