The best spaces tell you something about the people behind them.

For Chula’s, that story is family.

Even the name has meaning. “Chula” is the nickname the owner gave his granddaughters. The restaurant was created as a gathering place rooted in his Mexican heritage, his family, and the Prior Lake community.

So when we began designing the space, we weren't just thinking about what would look good.

We were thinking about how it should feel.

Warm. Lively. Welcoming. A place where you settle in, order another round, and stay awhile.

That story became our north star for the design.

Meet Chula’s. 🌮

One of our latest projects took us a little outside our usual residential world, and it did not disappoint!

Chula’s Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits was built from the ground up in downtown Prior Lake with one big idea at its heart: create a place where family, friends, and community feel at home.

We brought that idea to life with reclaimed barnwood, antique mirror, a lush moss wall, custom murals, and plenty of color and warmth.

Bold, welcoming, and layered with meaning.

As much fun as it is to reach the finish line - styling, shooting, and capturing a completed project- the best part is knowing our clients (who we become friends with along the way) finally get to enjoy their home again.

There’s nothing like seeing their faces when they walk in and realize this space is theirs. All the decisions, meetings, months of planning and construction lead to this moment. And it never gets old!
