The Times received information today concerning a new scam. The caller claims to be a representative of FPL (Florida Power & Light). He tells the callee that they owe a $1900 deposit and states reasons why (and those are varied). He further states they were mailed a certified letter and refused to sign it.

This is a scam - do not give them any banking information.

Funds are currently available to provide respite services to caregivers of persons 18+ who have memory-loss related to Alzheimer’s Disease or other types of dementia. The caregiver must provide care on a regular basis to qualify.
Caregiving is an act of love and can be a physical, emotional, and financial challenge. The (ADI) Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative program recognizes these challenges and seeks to provide support for caregivers.
