“My wife and I were looking for a lighter, brighter feel to our house but were overwhelmed. We turned to Paula for help. Paula took the lead and began to discern how each of our tastes/styles worked together or clashed.

She crafted a kitchen that we, to this day, are simply blown away by. Her work in our laundry room not only created a highly functional space, but a lovely one as well. This kitchen went from dark and plain to bright, functional, and full of style. While the layout stayed mostly the same, key updates made a big impact, like replacing the over-the-range microwave with a stainless steel vent hood for a cleaner look.

White cabinetry, lighter countertops, and wood-look LVT flooring came together to create a bright, practical space that works beautifully for a busy family.

This new build strikes a balance between rustic character and light, airy design. Set on a wooded lot, the home features hickory cabinetry in a light-washed stain, bringing warmth and texture without feeling heavy.

We carried this cabinetry style through the baths and laundry for a cohesive, inviting feel throughout the home.

A fresh take on a timeless style. To complement the home’s transitional look, we updated this kitchen with white cabinetry that extends to the ceiling—adding both height and elegance. Veined quartz countertops flow right into the backsplash for a seamless finish, while custom storage (think cutlery pullouts, spice racks, and floor-to-ceiling pantries) keeps everything beautifully organized.

When the bones are good, thoughtful updates can completely transform a space. This once-dark kitchen kept its original layout, but with light-stained maple cabinetry, quartz countertops, taller uppers, and a new pantry, it now feels brighter, more open, and entirely refreshed—with a lot more storage, too.

Updating this condo with Cory from Motif Designs was about smart design choices and a fresh, modern feel. In the kitchen, we replaced the cramped layout with a spacious island for two, moved the fridge wall back, and swapped the cooktop and sink locations—all tied together with a custom decorative hood.

On the dining room side, a sleek bar now showcases the client’s glassware and bourbon collection.

The primary bath got a thoughtful refresh with a larger vanity, built-in bench, and linen cabinet, while the laundry room—tucked in the entry hall—became a bright, functional space with blue beadboard cabinetry, stacked appliances, a small sink, and hanging space.

This historic farmhouse kitchen came with its own set of challenges—uneven floors and tight spaces to name a few. Working alongside Built by JS Garrett and designer Keri Pimental, we reimagined the space into something that feels both classic and current.

The painted green island adds just the right amount of personality, while the warm wood cabinetry ties it all together with timeless farmhouse charm.

Collaborating with Amanda Millwood Designs brought this kitchen vision to life, transforming it into an open, welcoming space perfect for family gatherings. By removing the wall between the kitchen, dining, and family rooms, we created a seamless flow and added a spacious peninsula with seating for six—a true hub for entertaining.

Downstairs, we created a cozy wet bar just for the kids, complete with a microwave and mini fridge.

Light, bright cabinetry and countertops keep things fresh and open, while two-toned cabinets add a thoughtful mix of timeless charm and modern style.
