Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. Here are some of the projects I’ve been up to:

-taking an inventory of and evaluating what works I’ve made
-testing new patterns, materials, and products
-investigating fall and winter craft shows to debut as a vendor (EEK)

I often have people ask me how long it takes me to finish a piece. The answer: it depends. It depends on the size of the work, the type of yarn being used, how tight the tension is, and what type of stitch pattern I go for.

For example, the two blankets below are starkly different. The one on the left took about 6 hours to finish but used just under two skeins of the yarn I chose. The one on the right has taken about 15 hours and two skeins and is only halfway done. This is why pricing for crafters can be so complicated! There’s no “standard” to fix your prices to.

It is always fair to say that an artisan’s product is out of your budget but trust that they’ve made sound judgement in the pricing of their work! I can’t speak for everyone but for myself, if one of my products is out of your budget but you would still like to purchase from me, ask what else I have in stock or how we can design a custom product for you! Maybe all it takes is changing the material type or the stitch pattern. Questions are always welcome!

One of my most favorite projects to work on is a baby blanket ❤️

With them, I send all the well wishes for the family’s future together that I’ve put into each stitch. I think about all the memories to come and how lives will come to shift with a new addition to the family.

Getting the chance to put these joyful feelings into my projects makes every single one so special.
