Heritage Window Restoration

Heritage Window Restoration Heritage Window Restoration LLC provides a full restoration service for your historic wood windows.

HWR will use the techniques that were taught and approved by the Michigan Historical Preservation Network for wood window restoration. These techniques include and are not limited to complete and full restoration of a historic wood window. Services that will be offered are the following:
- Make the sashes move again (top and bottom)
- Repair broken glass, loose glazing
- Replace sash ropes, sash

weights, sash pulleys
- Repair or replace window hardware
- Repair or replace rotted or broken wood (including sills, trim, casing, sashes, etc.)
- Removal of old paint
- Applying new paint to match existing paint scheme
- Retrofit weather stripping to stop infiltration of air on windows and doors
- Build and/or install storm windows (aluminum or wood)

Finally got to install these new sash today. We had to replace what was there due to a poor restoration about 25-30 years ago.
The bottom sash is 48x52 with 1/4" plate glass
