Okay, this one feels pretty special. šŸ¤šŸ”

Houzz recently rounded up some of the best kitchens and bathrooms in Grand Rapids, and TWO Delight projects made the list!

āœØ Just 9 kitchens were selected, including one of ours.
āœØ Just 6 bathrooms were selected, and one of ours made that list too.

But our bathroom wasnā€™t quite done showing off. šŸ˜‰

Houzz also selected just 5 Grand Rapids projects for Best of Houzz overall, and our bathroom was chosen as one of them!

Weā€™re incredibly proud of these spaces, but even more than that, we love knowing that the homes weā€™re creating for our clients are getting noticed right here in West Michigan.

Beautiful? Absolutely.
But designed for real people, real life, and the way our clients want to live in their homes? Always. šŸ¤

You know when a light fixture looks perfectā€¦ but somehow feels a little *off* once itā€™s hanging? šŸ‘€

Sometimes, itā€™s not the fixture, itā€™s the height.

šŸ’” Over a table or island: aim for about 32ā€“36 inches above the surface.
šŸ’” Over a dining table: about 30ā€“36 inches.
šŸ’” Walking underneath it? Give yourself around 7 feet of clearance. (Your tall family members will thank you. šŸ˜‰)

Some people see an old library card catalog. We see tile samples. šŸ˜

One of our favorite parts of creating the new Delight space is finding unexpected pieces and giving them a completely new purpose.

This old library catalog is coming with us to Rockford, where those little drawers will hold tile samples for our remodeling projects.

Old character. New purpose. And definitely not something youā€™ll find in a typical design showroom.

We have a feeling this is going to be one of those pieces everyone wants to open. šŸ¤

The new space is starting to tell its storyā€¦one little drawer at a time.

You know how laundry rooms usually feel like an afterthought?
Not this one.

We believe even the most functional spaces deserve a little joy and when form meets function, the everyday gets a whole lot easier (and better looking).

Hereā€™s why this laundry room really works:

Wallpaper in a Utility Space
Laundry rooms donā€™t have to be boring. That bold wallpaper instantly gives this space personality and makes a chore-heavy room feel intentional and finished. When a space looks good, it actually feels better to use.

Upper Cabinets Flanking the Window
Placing cabinets on both sides of the window keeps storage high without blocking natural light. You get function and brightness, no dark, closed-in laundry cave here.

Built-In Drying Rack
That wall-mounted drying rack is a quiet hero. It saves floor space, keeps clothes wrinkle-free, and folds away when not in use. Smart, simple, and very satisfying.

Dedicated Utility Sink with Cabinet Storage
The sink is perfect for messy jobs, soaking, or hand-washing, while the cabinet below keeps supplies tucked away. Itā€™s one of those features you donā€™t realize you needā€¦ until you have it.

Weā€™re excited to share that Delight Remodel & Design has been recognized with Houzz awards for 2026! šŸ†ļø

Awards are pretty fun, but what they represent means even more to us: beautiful homes, thoughtful design, solved problems, and clients who trusted us to help make their homes work better for the way they actually live.

Last week, we shared some pretty big news: Delight is moving to Rockford! šŸ”

The building has been painted, people are starting to notice, and weā€™ve already heard a few, ā€œWaitā€¦whatā€™s going in there?ā€ šŸ‘€

Itā€™s us! And weā€™re so excited to become part of the Rockford community.

In the middle of all the moving plans, we also received some really sweet news. Delight was nominated in six categories in the West Michigan Woman Readersā€™ Choice Awards. šŸ¤

Weā€™re genuinely grateful for the support, especially as we head into such an exciting new chapter.

For now, weā€™re getting back to work on that building in Rockford. šŸ˜‰ Thereā€™s a lot to do, and we canā€™t wait to show you what weā€™re creating inside.
