Ingredients:
- 6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: raisins or chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Tear the bread into small pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread, making sure all pieces are soaked.
5. If using, sprinkle raisins or chocolate chips on top.
6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and firm.
7. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or with a scoop of ice cream!
Tips:
- You can use stale bread for better texture.
- Add a drizzle of caramel sauce on top for an extra treat!"
