Starting a small business is cute and exciting… until it’s not. One minute you’re like “omg I have so many ideas, I’m about to do BIG things” and the next you’re refreshing your phone like, “so we just not buying anything today or…?”
It gets real quiet. Real fast.
Little support.
Barely any orders.
Almost no inquiries.
And now you’re sitting there like, did I jump in too soon? Am I even good at this? What the hell am I even doing?
Meanwhile, you’ve already put money into it. Supplies, materials, equipment… all because you believed in yourself enough to try. Now you’re like “God, I know I asked for this… but I’m gonna need for you to come through for me real quick” 😅
And nobody really talks about this part. Not just the creating, because yeah, that part is fun. But the backend? The business side?
Pricing things.
Tracking everything.
Trying to look professional while lowkey figuring it out as you go.
Fixing mistakes you didn’t even know you could make.
All while your brain is like “this isn’t working”, “you should’ve waited”, “you’re not doing enough”
It’s exhausting.
Some days you feel like you’re building something amazing. Other days you feel like you’re throwing money into a void.
But here’s the thing…
I didn’t start this because it was guaranteed. I started it because I was tired of not trying.
So yeah, I’m stressed, I’m questioning everything, and I might be a little delusional… but I still believe in what I’m building and I’m not quitting. Even on the quiet days.
And when it does take off?
Yeah… I’m gonna remember these days.
And if you’ve ever supported me… liked, shared, ordered, or even just told someone about my work… just know I see you and I appreciate you more than you probably realize 🫶🏻
And if you’ve been watching from the sidelines waiting for a sign to place an order… this might be it 👀
