“I'm a fan of Greek mythology. When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, I found myself daydreaming about a world where you could call on the Greek and Roman gods to come and solve problems in the mortal world.
This design represents that imaginary world I retreated into to help cope with her diagnosis."
Each year, Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic hosts BRAS of the Bay to help close the loop on breast cancer and raise awareness of the breast reconstruction rights of breast cancer patients and those who need risk-reducing mastectomies. This year’s event will take place on October 22, 2026.
Thanks to our incredible community, last year we raised $41,000 for Ribbon of Hope Foundation! These funds directly support breast cancer patients in Northeast Wisconsin.

Fishing for a Cure
“Fishing is one of the most important hobbies I share with my kids. It teaches them patience, understanding, and valuable life skills.
My children have carried these same lessons into other areas of life. Those skills have followed them into many hospital rooms, where they have supported friends and family through various cancers and illnesses.
You never know when that next cast will bring in something new, whether it be a fish or the next step toward finding a cure for others."

Two Weeks until our Halloween Event at Wonders By Women Come for the vendors. Stay for the Classes, D&D Campaigns and Trick Or Treating!

9:00AM-3:00PM Face Painting with Raine and Genevieve. Two local teens, who do face painting for Theater Productions, Special Events and Halloween Haunted Houses will be here to doing Full Face, or cute mini face painting designs. Price depends on the size of the face painting request.

10:00AM - 12:30PM Wild beyond the Witchlight: One Shot D&D Campaign.

11:00AM - 1:00PM Painting Lesson With Sarah.‍ ‍

1:00PM-2:00PM Watercolor Panting Lesson with Samsconsin.

Citizen Animal Response Team Auxiliary will have giveaways and some education materials on Animal Rescue.

Dragon Heart Crafts: Handmade Jewelry, Paintings and other art by Jasmine.

Fab’s Trinkets has whimsical and magical wares. Keychains, magnets, intention bottles and other spooky items.

Kit Designs has crochet plushies of mostly ocean creature themes, macrame and beaded jewelry. Kit's child Ali will also be set up with pony bead keychains, jewelry, and other creations.

Lionheart Art and Designs will be selling charms, pin-back buttons, and stickers with tabletop role playing game class-themed artwork and lots of cats!

Meriwether Emporium will be selling a variety of crochet plushies, including seasonal/holiday themed plushies.

Taeolin's Artifacts is bringing gorgeous handcrafted resin dice, epic RPG gifts, and spooky Halloween giveaways to the event. Roll for treasure!

Ty'sCraftyTreasures will be bringing beaded jewlery of all kinds, keychains, perler bead art and more!

Breaking Bra. It Started With A Sparkle
“The Twilight reference in this bra represents humor. Because my cancer looked like "glittering sparkles" on the mammogram, my mind found humor in the fact that my b***s "sparkled like a Twilight vampire."
The rounded top is a nod to the religious and spiritual deep dive that came from, and continues to be, a daily contemplation since my diagnosis.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show reference reflects how I feel physically since the mastectomy. Losing a part of my body has made me feel more like a circus sideshow character than myself. Learning to be comfortable in my own body again feels like accepting this... ick-ish, Halloween-ish physique.
With the beadwork, I stitched in beads shaped like what my cancer looked like on the mammogram.
The aurora theme brings to light another realization. My cancer diagnosis brought to the forefront of my mind how small and insignificant I am, but also how wondrous it is to be part of this large and beautiful world and universe. Inside my insignificant physical body is stardust. I am just a tiny part of everything, and everything is part of me. While losing my sense of individuality, I feel myself becoming more a part of that "other."

“My bra is based on how everything has felt since my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It hasn't been scary, since I know she has a 98% survival rate. Its all just been, kinda like living in a story o or movie. It like this creepy thing is happening, but it's not really real.. since the rest of life goes on like normal."
