💙 ANNOUNCEMENT: Made To Encourage is closing 💙

You know how you make plans and have a vision and then things just take an unexpected turn? And then a few more things happen and before you know it, it's October and life looks completely different than what you envisioned in January. Yeah, that is the perfect description of 2026 for me.

With Randy's injury in February and then mom needing my full-time care, I had to reconsider where and how I'm applying my energy and focus. I thought about it, talked about it and prayed about it A LOT, and know that closing is the right thing to do.

So, we're having a going out of business sale. It would be so wonderful if you helped me sell off my inventory. Tell your friends and family. Share the pics with everyone you know. Shipping will be available if needed.

First up: some scenics of the Blue Ridge Mountains, all inspired by photos taken of those beauties. Prices and sizes are listed.

My mom left us and went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 8th.

It was a crazy final three months for Mom. She fell on June 5th and broke her left femur. Surgery and then five weeks of rehab brought her to an assisted living facility where she fell again five days later, breaking her right femur. Another surgery, and more rehab but her body said: enough.

I was with her almost every day and eventually brought her home with me under hospice care. Her sister, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren came in to say goodbye and that was so beautiful. She waited until the party was over to take her last breath and it was my honor to be with her at the end.

Mom left us with a legacy of love, service, devotion, and family. She will be truly missed.

Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
