Today we said goodbye to Sadie, and it’s hard to put into words just how much space she filled in our lives. She was loyal in the truest sense of the word—always nearby, always watching, always making sure her people were okay. She wasn’t just a dog; she was a constant presence, a steady heart, and the best shop dog anyone could ask for.
Sadie was like a second mother to our kids, keeping quiet watch and offering comfort in her own gentle way. She adored Jackson, her brother, and you could almost always find her curled up next to him, snuggling close like it was exactly where she was meant to be. She had the cutest jealousy too—always wanting to be noticed, petted, and included, reminding us that love is meant to be shared loudly and often.
On walks, she’d stop and turn around to check on me, as if to say, “I’m here. I’ve got you.” That was Sadie—attentive, protective, and endlessly loving.
We will miss her more than we can say, but we are so grateful for the years we had with her, for the love she gave so freely, and for the way she made our family feel more complete. She was deeply loved, and she always will be. 🤍
