I’ve purposefully been quiet on here for some time…

The summer of 2025 reshaped the path of my life. I entered what I imagined would be a season of subtraction, only to watch it transform into something more profound. It became a time where I discovered the importance of prioritizing my family over my professional ambitions and quieting the noise of “doing it all.” I’ve realized that trying to do everything at once only scatters focus. I was stretched too thin, so I made the choice to step back from something good to concentrate on the best thing: my family and my home. What a gift it is to be called mom and to know I’m all in. The time we have together under one roof is brief, and being present is my most cherished priority.

I’m delighted to introduce you to my families beautiful addition, Charlie Eller Matthews, who joined us on June 5th, 2026.

After days of steady rain, the sun finally made its return—and we followed it outside, art supplies in hand and barefoot joy underfoot.

My boys, little dreamers and driveway entrepreneurs, usually create with business in mind (painted rocks are a hot commodity around here 😉), but today wasn’t about selling...for any of us.

Today was about delight.

We painted just to paint. Colors splashed, brushes danced, and laughter carried through the trees like a hymn. No goal. No outcome. Just wonder. Just worship.

Under the sway of 90’ trees and a sky declaring His glory, we slowed down and noticed the beauty of simply being. ✨

Delight, in its purest form, is found in the pause. In the play. In the art of paying attention to the goodness of God all around.

What’s one simple thing you can do this week just for the delight of it? No pressure, no purpose, just pure joy.
