Meet Anna, the founder of Urban Petals!
I started Anna Stouffer 14 years ago with no floral experience but I set out to create and learn. I’ve designed flowers for events up and down the East Coast. 9 years ago, I opened a retail shop, Urban Petals Lfstyle Boutique in South Carolina.
How I got started: While working in a law firm, I began creating flowers for friends and never stopped saying “yes”. I eventually left the legal profession entirely to pursue my growing flower business. Today, I am still learning and growing!
Published Work: My work has been featured several times on Martha Stewart, Style Me Pretty, and Florists Review. I won an international design contest and traveled last year to Bogota, Colombia to visit the prestigious garden rose farm, Alexandra Farms.
What I juggle now: I love being a Mom! When I’m not at the shop, I’m probably on an adventure with my little guy. We might be catching frogs, doing science-y things, exploring new places, or hanging out at our house. I also love entertaining, hosting girls night, gardening (still super amateur at this), and dreaming up a tablescape for a supper club (wanna join me?!). Oh, and I love playing the piano and painting with watercolors in my “spare time”.
What to expect this Fall: I’m currently freshening up the shop to re-open late August/early September after a lovely summer break. Fall & Christmas are basically here so I’m finalizing all of the holiday orders & plans. New workshop dates will be posted for floral design classes and seasonal classes - look for them on opening day! I’m hiring new employees -can’t wait to introduce them to you!
What I love about Urban Petals: You. You are the reason why I love what I do. If I had to boil down what “I do”….I love creating memorable things and spaces for you. Beautiful experiences that help you feel special. Beautiful arrangements to celebrate all of the meaningful parts of your life. Flowers and home decor are the “medium” I get to use to make life more beautiful.
