Back in 1979, in the little town of Biggs, CA, a small company was formed for the purpose of manufacturing wood burning stoves. Heat Tech Industries, a family owned company, has been manufacturing wood stoves for approximately 32 years. In 1990, we designed two lines of pellet burning stoves, and have been manufacturing wood burning and pellet burning stoves since then. Our stoves have been tested

and approved for residential, modular homes, masonry and zero clearance installations. Our commitment as a manufacturer is to provide a high quality product for a reasonable price, but remain small enough to maintain a personal relationship with our dealers and customers. FEATHER RIVER AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT will start accepting applications for the Wood Smoke Reduction Program on February 20, 2024.

To qualify for a voucher up to $2,500, you must have one of the following:

-An uncertified wood stove or insert is not EPA certified. Typically stoves or inserts older than 1989 are uncertified.

-An open hearth fireplaces may be eligible for the Program if the fireplace is used as a primary source of heat.

Northern Sierra Air Quality is currently taking applications for the Wood Stove Change Out Program.

Prescreening Qualifications:

1. They live in Nevada, Sierra, or Plumas County.

2. Their wood stove/insert is still in their house and has not been removed.

3. Their wood stove is their primary source of heat.

Any stove manufactured before 1988 = qualifies for the Program.
Any stove manufactured after July 1, 1988 = do not qualify for the Program.
