FLASHBACK FRIDAY!

In talking with one of my wedding clients today, I was reminded of one of my absolute favorite weddings, from last summer.

We do A LOT of weddings for couples that aren't from here, so it can feel extra special to us when we have a wedding where we already know the couple and their families. This particular groom is a Grinnell native, and we know their family, so we were pretty sure the bride and her family would also be a blast. It was also exciting to travel to my hometown for this wedding, to a new venue that didn't exist in my life there- what we had seen for venue photos looked amazing, like a florist and dj's dream set-up.

What we didn't count on was Mara.

We've worked with a lot of venues over the years, and a lot of event planners, but Mara and the team at Ahava are the real thing. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but Mara is the key piece that makes everything come together... from the obvious things that always need to take place for a successful event, to the things you didn't even know had to be considered, and everything in between. Before you ask her a question, she's already got a plan in place, and she handles it all with such class and ease. Not before this event, and not since, has a venue or event team come even close to the level of expertise we saw here.
