Which candles have been your favorite? Your thoughts and opinions are important to me, and are a huge part of my decision making process!

My candle collections undergo constant transformations- my favorite part of making candles is that they’re such a fulfilling creative outlet, and it makes my heart happy to come up with new scent combinations and aesthetics. I enjoy experimenting with new fragrances, so you may often see a very limited number of certain candles as I test them out. Some of them, I personally love enough to pour again- and then there are some that I only offer once and then move on to something new.

But this is where you come in! If there was a candle that you truly loved and would like to see available again in the future, I want to hear from you!

My personal favorites- Hippie Witch, Egyptian Amber, and the Crystal Collection ✨ ohhh, and Bohemian Rose- this one is currently only available as a wax melt, but candles are coming soon!

What happens if you burn your candle for more than four hours?

Best case scenario, nothing major 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’ve all done it! But there are plenty of reasons to s***f out that candle before it goes over the four hour mark:

🕯️carbon residue can build up on the wick- this causes a mushrooming effect, and it can start to produce excess smoke and leave black marks on your candle jar.

🕯️your flame will get too big! Then the candle will burn way too hot, and it’s even possible that the jar could break.

🕯️it can apparently affect the quality of the scent throw- this is one I’ve heard tossed around- I haven’t yet found a source that goes into detail about why this would happen, but if the fire hazards aren’t reasons enough for you, then here ya go.

And don’t forget to trim your wicks down to 1/4 inch in between burns!

Pictured is one of the first prototypes of a very very special candle that is still in the works! It’s been a very slow process of figuring out and sourcing all the right elements, but it’s getting closer to fruition every day ✨

I’m Caity, the face behind Gemini Moon Candle Co! I believe in romanticizing life and surrounding ourselves with beautiful things. During wintertime, fantasy books and hot tea are my jam, but once the weather warms up you’ll find me in the garden or milking my goats. My other side hustle is raising chickens, but my main job is “Mom”. My life’s goal is to be the local village witch, preferably in a coastal cottage somewhere. I hate taking selfies, my favorite color is green, and I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart for nearly nine years.

Making these soy wax candles is such a rewarding creative outlet for me, and I’m grateful to all of you for making it possible for me to keep bringing my thoughts and ideas to life ✨
