🏵 A little about Adder’s Fork
Adder’s Fork is a small family craft & garden business—and when we say small, we mean it! Most days, it’s just me and my four-year-old son growing plants, making things, packing up for markets, and learning as we go.
Adder’s Fork is registered and inspected as a plant nursery by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). We focus on raising healthy plants using sustainable, organic-minded growing practices, along with offering hand-selected seeds, propagation supplies, and grower education.
One of the things we love most is helping people realize that growing plants doesn’t have to be complicated. You can start vegetables from a packet of seeds, turn one favorite houseplant into several through propagation, make compost from things you would normally throw away, create a garden for pollinators, or simply learn how to keep the plant on your windowsill happy.
Caring for the natural world is a big part of why we grow the way we do. We care deeply about protecting our pollinators, supporting healthy little ecosystems, reducing unnecessary waste, and finding ways to grow that work with nature rather than against it. We want to help more people create spaces where bees, butterflies, beneficial insects, wildlife, plants, and people can all thrive.
And we believe a small business can do a little good beyond its own garden, too. Adder’s Fork donates a portion of our profits to various charitable organizations and causes we care about. As the business grows, we hope our ability to give back grows right along with it.
Education is also becoming an increasingly important part of Adder’s Fork. We’re working toward offering hands-on workshops for adults and families covering propagation, seed starting, repotting, composting, basic plant care, pest and disease identification, pollinator protection, and sustainable growing practices.
But Craft & Garden is important to us, too.
Alongside our plants and gardening supplies, we make and carry handmade jewelry, art, 3D-printed creations, fairy garden friends, garden accessories, and other curious little things. It gives us a chance to keep creating year-round—and means you’ll find us at craft fairs and art shows as well as farmers markets and plant events.
At its heart, Adder’s Fork is about curiosity, creativity, stewardship, and getting your hands dirty. We want kids to discover the magic of watching their first seed sprout, new gardeners to feel confident enough to try, and experienced growers to find something interesting, useful, or simply fun.
We’re still a very small business, and we’re growing right alongside our plants.
Growing things, making things & sharing what we learn along the way. 🌱
