Pricing for T Shirt Quilts
T Shirt quilts are a great way to preserve memories. You can generally get a 15-inch square form one T shirt. We will stabilize the T shirt with a cotton stabilizer prior to assembly as a quilt. This prevents the material from getting too stretchy. A 12-bock quilt makes a perfect size throw quilt. More T shirts are needed for a larger quilt. We charge $20 a block/Shirt to make a T shirt quilt. That includes cutting the T shirt, stabilizing it, sewing the blocks together with sashing or without, supplying a quilt quality backing material and using Hobbs quality batting. Your quilt is then professionally quilted, and the binding is applied.
To Prepare Your Shirts to be A Memory Quilt
• Shirts should be clean. Stains on the T shirt will be visible on the quilt.
• Small holes are ok because we stabilize the shirt with cotton interfacing.
• Please choose the side of the shirt you would like to use in the quilt (front or back) and indicate this with a safety pin and a note.
If there is one shirt you would like to have used in the center of the quilt, please indicate this with a safety pin and a note.
We choose the sashing color based on the color of your shirts. However, if there is a particular color you would like, you may request it.
