Design challenges when updating an older home...how come they didn't center the fireplace? Better than the "corner fireplace" I guess. So many homes seem to have this.

Part of my design process is to give you solutions for those spaces you've just given up on. What would a DESIGNER DO? When a room feels out of balance, I can sense it immediately. There are a few suggestions I can offer during a consultation (HOUSE CALL)

* The fireplace had almost become an accent wall instead of FOCAL POINT.
*Outdated brick color
* Mantle too high
* Furniture too formal for casual space
* Layout elongates the room
* Formal Living Room adjacent doesn't blend with FR Style
* Need to maximize floor space

MY Designs are truly where the ideas come to life. You need a PLAN to make the room feel balanced. This part is the foundation to a great room. AND...it's critical. There is so much more intentionality when I put together a plan. I truly think about what is best for the people who live here...and how they want to use the area.

Spring visitors are arriving soon. Upcoming nuptials, bridal showers, celebrations and gatherings are right around the corner, so I'm making sure the rooms look just like the day they were photographed by .

Guest rooms can quickly become a dumping ground. So easy to just close the door and get to it "LATER". If the thought of opening that guest room door scares you, call me. I know it takes courage to trust someone to look past your piles. I really do that. I'm always looking for the positives; not making you feel worse.

There are probably about 4 people reading this, who have been too worried, too ashamed...Don't be...who hasn't been there?

My little powder room transformation is almost complete . I’m on a mission to finish some projects before my next party.

This is actually leftover wallpaper from my office. The paint was from my good friend . Benjamin Moore’s Canvas Tan. Just a really soft warm hue. The mirror was a client sacrifice I was unable to return… so I kept it. And the vanity was a $75 FB Marketplace find 10 years ago . Still love it .

All these things taking up space in my house …, now beautifully combined . I bet you have some great finds too that just need to be showcased !

Yes, you can remove your tub. The shower, niches and bench make a huge improvement.

Broken 😞 builder grade vanity replaced with drawers and space for 3 girls’ products and stuff !

Conveniently added were necessary . In a small space with multiple people …you don’t feel trapped or squeezed ever.

And will always be a great investment with immediate impact.

It's time you finally finished something isn't it? The final touch is Window Treatments. I'm very passionate and intentional about my designs. Notice how the color palette is repeated throughout the home? You need layers of contrast, softness to balance the hardwood floors. Pattern to break up the solid walls and monochromatic scheme.
