Hi everyone ! 💞 Farmstand update! This year I have been pulled in many other directions and haven’t gotten back to stocking the stand weekly! This stand really means a lot to me because my Dad and I built it together (Jeff Coleman🤍.) I was telling my mom (Michelle Davis Coleman🤍) that I didn’t want it to just sit outside forever and get ruined by the weather and she had the brilliant idea to turn it into a blessing box! I will always remember the special time I had building this with my dad, and while he stays super busy, he took the time to build this with me, which is the kind of Dad he has always been. While many of you may know there is a blessing box in Marshall & Harleton, there is not one in Jefferson! I will be partnering with Foodie Tasting Room and will be bringing Aunt BBs bread box up there to use as a Blessing box for the foreseeable future.
If you don’t know what a blessing box is- it’s an outdoor stand where people can donate food and people can pickup food. It’s there to bless the community and allow anyone to grab extra food when they don’t have enough. No questions asked! We are shooting for Sept 15 as our start date for the blessing box. If you’d like to donate any shelf stable items between now & then I believe Amelia Rabalais at Foodie is taking donations to put in there once we have it up! Once it is up, you can just drop off any non perishable items anytime! It will be nestled in between the 2 doors going into their store, (in downtown Jefferson) so you won’t miss it! I hope this Blessing box is able to bless a lot of families in Jefferson! 💞
Thank you for several wonderful years at the farmstand! I have really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people! Yall have been so gracious to me and it’s an honor to have been supported by my community.
Please share this post to help get the word out and I will post again when we have it up and running. As always, to God be the glory! ✝️🙌
