NOW ACCEPTING NEW MAKERS✨

We’re looking for new makers to join our shop for the upcoming holiday season! We’ve already gotten a great response from new makers this past week and we will be reaching out to them soon once we settle into the school year!

We’re also excited to now offer a 70/30 split, with 70% going directly to our makers, allowing us to better support the people behind the work we love to share.

Interested in joining us? We’d love to hear from you! Applications will remain open so you can apply any time in the future too!

Look at this adorable needle felted goat that just arrived from local maker Erika Haugerud!

This little guy stands atop a piece of driftwood Erika harvested from Lake Pepin. Erika uses found objects from nature and thrifted or vintage finds to create her needle felted work.

A one-of-a-kind find that would look stunning on a mantel or shelf with a whole lot of cheer.

The Little Free Craft Section has lots of new finds! I had just gotten it back down to just the little blue cart when we received several new donations! Thank you again to everyone donating supplies.

We have had a lot of supplies going to teachers getting ready for the school year or teaching classes in nursing homes, many quilters and creative kids!

We have also had many people taking supplies wanting to give monetary donation and some won’t take no for an answer so I am working on setting up a donation jar that we can contribute those funds back into the community and keep that full circle. But these are free supplies anyone can use-donations or purchases not required.

If you would like to donate supplies to the little free craft section they can be dropped off Thursday-Saturday 10am-5pm or email us at [email protected] with any questions!

The Great Minnesota Get Together starts tomorrow!

When I was a kid in the 90’s the last week of summer was always spent at The Minnesota State Fair. This week we’re showcasing some of the Minnesota finds around the shop made and designed by MN makers & artists. You may spot a few of the makers we carry if you are heading out to the fair!

So I was just thinking…

Wouldn’t it be nice if I could take all the time and creative energy that goes into social media posts and put it toward something else?

More time making things.

More time connecting with makers.

More time thinking and planning workshops and classes.

More time intentionally dreaming up what’s next.

Because honestly, social media can be exhausting and draining. And I’d rather put that energy toward creating, connecting, and dreaming up new things for the shop.

I’m also working on getting a newsletter set up, and you can keep up to date on what’s happening through our new website, too.

You may see me here a little less often, but I’m really excited about having more time and energy to create new things, try new ideas, and see where they go. (I make no promises😂) 💛

Come find a little kindness with us!
2 new introductory letters arrived! It’s pretty exciting to have people choose our little shop out of all the shops in this network to write to. Stop in and read them & find a new pen pal! This weeks letters are from Johnson City, Tennessee & Mount Pleasant, Michigan!

We also have postcards that are free to use, generously donated to us by a community member.

About the project: The Sunday Letter Project is a network of independent shops & libraries around the world that serve as letter keepers for people to connect through letter writing & spread a little kindness.
