Disclaimers—fullness/puckers cannot always be quilted out. Sewing machines are mechanical devices. Despite careful maintenance, mechanical problems may occur and cause damage to a quilt top or back.

This gorgeous appliqué quilt is the handwork of Celia Bradley. Of course it needed custom quilting!! Coming up with designs to coordinate and show off the flowers took a bit of time but the results were worth it. The quilt was awarded a Viewers Choice ribbon in the Appliqué category at the Dakota Pieces Quilt Show in Sioux Falls, SD.

Today’s posting is a variety of e2e (edge-to-edge, aka all-over) designs on a few client quilts. The musical design always shows off well on minkie type backings. And the swirling leaves creates great texture.

I have a client, Wendy F. who loves to make quilts from the machine embroidery she creates. This is one of them. She left me lots of white space to play with! We both were pretty happy with how it turned out.

Merry Christmas!
Here’s some merry and bright colors for your Christmas Day.
The digital quilt design is a little hard see, but these wavy lines add great texture and movement to many quilt top patterns. It’s one of my favorites to quilt on clients’ quilt tops.
