Got it done! I did something I have never done- I used 2 patinas.

The red on the rose was so dark- I felt the solder lines would disappear - they make the definition of the petals. So they are copper and the clear texture glass and leaves are black.

It is enough difference to make the rose pop!

This piece is a commission.

So I have finished cutting the rose! I have 5 pieces of the textured clear glass left to cut.

I got frustrated cutting a red piece the other day and decided to start putting copper foil on pieces. It was a good break- and when I went back to cutting the piece giving me a hard time, success- without out having to cut again!

How many times does it take to get it to fit?

Depends on how much you grind off, curves are cut too sharp, how many sides are touching….

It took me 6 try’s to get it just right!
