We're proud to share the groundbreaking of a new 41,000 SF short-term rehabilitation facility for Waveny LifeCare Network in New Canaan, CT – designed in close collaboration with their clinical teams to create spaces that support healing, recovery, and connection.

The patient experience is elevated through evidence-based health and wellness design principles, including biophilic elements, warm natural materials, nature-inspired colors and patterns, and expansive windows in every private room.

Opening Spring 2028.

Timothy Reagen, AIA, CPHC, and Kate Ford, AIA, LEED AP, volunteered in the Boston Society of Architects Kindergarten program by visiting students at Cambridgeport School in March and April. The program partners with Boston and Cambridge Public Schools to integrate architectural concepts into their existing curriculum, with completed student projects showcased during a May exhibition.

Kate says of her experience, “Spending time with Mrs. Connelly’s kindergarten class was such a joy! Sharing my love for design and architecture with them felt especially meaningful, because I was about their age when I first discovered that same curiosity.”

By participating in programs like the BSA Kindergarten initiative, we can inspire students at a younger age who might not otherwise have access to knowledge of the profession, creating a more diverse pipeline of talent for the future.

The 30,000 sf renovation of the Salmanson Dining Hall at Bryant University turned a dated, congested space into an energized two-level gathering place. Double-height ceilings, oversized pendants, and Bryant's gold and grey palette create a dining environment that feels like a destination – with improved traffic flow and seating that supports the full campus community.

When the designers set out to design Bryant University's new Puishys Residence Complex, the starting point wasn't the building - it was the land. Sited on a sloping, wooded hillside at the Tupper Campus entrance, the 85,000 SF complex steps down the topography as two connected halls, clad in textured brick and anchored by a three-story glass skywalk that serves as both landmark and main entrance. It's the first thing you see when you arrive at Bryant, and it was designed to feel like it belongs exactly where it stands.

Our work at Mary Shepard Place was featured in the Hartford Courant. The project – a full reimagining of a 13-acre public housing site in the Clay Arsenal neighborhood – is designed to knit a long-isolated community back into the fabric of the surrounding streets. We're honored to be part of this effort alongside Trinity Financial and the Housing Authority of the City of Hartford.

Honored to share that the Connecticut Humane Society Pet Resource Center has been recognized with the CREW CT - The Real Estate Exchange Community Impact Award at the 31st Annual Blue Ribbon Awards Showcase. A decade in the making, this Wilton facility was designed to embody CHS's mission in built form – and this recognition means the world to our team. Congratulations to CHS and all of our incredible project partners.

The AIA Connecticut Women in Architecture Summit is just days away, and our team is looking forward to being there. This year's program promises thoughtful conversations on design across a range of perspectives and scales – and Principal Michael Tyre will be moderating a panel discussion on the agenda. We're always glad for the chance to gather with colleagues and experts from across the industry.

Somewhere between the rendering and the finished building, there's a moment that belongs entirely to the process.

The weather wrap traces the building's curved form against a winter sky, protecting what's becoming. Inside, floors are taking shape, corridors are finding their rhythm. The light is already finding its way in.
