An interesting story on this painting. I have been showing it for a few months and we were never sure of the artist as the signature was hard to read. It is a really lovely Impressionist work and it appears to be at least 70 years old.
A couple of weeks ago a couple walked into the shop, saw the painting and said, “Oh, that’s a George Mavroides.” They were Greek and recognized the Greek artist instantly. After some online research, we can see that the signature does match.
