Growing up, I was always told that buying things new was wasteful. We didn’t have a whole lot of money to be able to shop in the malls and my mother grew up in the thrift stores… so I did too. As a kid thrifting wasn’t this cool trend that was popular. Second hand was often considered dirty and lesser. But It forced us to be creative with our style. As adults that creativity overflowed into home, into our fashion, and into our business.

Today when I walk into Target or HomeGoods, all I see is cheaply made versions of the things that I see in secondhand stores. Most of it is made to look old; fake patina, fake crazing. Everything is cheap quality. It’s built to break and tear so you have to buy a new one within a few years. But the things that we sell on our store are 30 - 150 years old. made to be passed down through generations.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon digging through the barn for beautiful *old* things to bring to The Fall Gathering at Farmers Grey’s. This is just a sneak peak at a few things we pulled out 👀

We’re super excited for this event because this is the first market we’ve done in over 5 years!
