Philadelphia, PA I have been doing art since I was a very little girl. Colors mesmerized me and still do.

My first box of crayons was the most precious gift I could have been given. My paintings are about color, particularly the way colors interact with one another and change our perception of them. My current body of abstract paintings is a dance between painting and the molecular images drawn from the world of biochemistry, showcasing the basic geometric forms that are the underpinnings of life. I w

ork mainly with acrylic paints, but add areas of spray paint, colored pencil, flashe paint, and sometimes pastels. This blend creates a rich environment that consists of many layers that influence each other just as the decisions we make throughout our lives create the layers that make us who we are. My work opens up new connections between the exploration of art and science. The dance arises by taking these forms and looping them with my with artistic language. www.sandineimanlovitz.com
