What are your Labor Day plans? Are you going to a company picnic? That's what I did as a child every labor day as my father was a union carpenter. Are you going to the beach? Tops and hats and scarves! Oh my!
The jungle that is my craft room holds many unfinished objects. Over the last month, I did finish one: that teal top on the far right. It can be done!

This has been a tough week for the world. We lost a human that we will always love, Dolly Parton; as many people have said, probably the last human everybody liked! We lost a person, Tim Curry, who showed us that being warped is okay.

Join us as we recover from these losses, by knitting for a better future. We will begin working on the Blue Wave hat. The waves can crash the shore and sweep away our sorrows but they can also bring tides of change.

Experience the traditional Japanese dye technique of Shibori.

We will use folding, twisting and the insertion of items such as coins, stones, marbles and other found objects secured by ties or rubber bands to create areas of resistance prior to dyeing in an indigo vat.

Join this community Sack-A-Long to make soap sacks for our community. S.A.C.K. (Supporting A Community with Kindness) has inspired us to host this knit/crochet-a-long to supply our neighbors in need with bags containing bars of soap. The sack provides a nice scrubber in addition to wrapping the soap with our handmade care.

Our Sack-a-long is a FREE community event: the pattern is free; yarn is free; soap is free; fellowship is free (although we do ask for your fellowship in return!)
All we ask is that you bring needles or a hook.

The wind on our shores and the moon in the sky creates waves. The tide is changing and our blue wave hat signifies our hopes for the future. How far it goes? No one knows.

Join our 2026 cornucopia crafting journey. Last year, we made red apples, pumpkins, gourds, and pomegranates. This year, our journey begins with green apples. What other fall fruits and vegetables will we craft on our journey? Each month we will reveal/craft an addition to our cornucopia. Hint: the rest of the journey will be different from last year.

Our KCAL begins this Sunday, August 16. Drop by the shop to pick up your kit starting Sunday.
