In 1975 Greg was 4 (yes Iām gonna age him herešØāš¦³) when Max started working for Rufo, and Greg was here many days learning how to be āthe face of the businessā as Rufo referred to it š After Max bought the business in 1986 Greg started working around the store helping with cleaning and deliveries and in 1993 Greg went to work full time for his dadā¦ā¦ā¦ Now letās fast forward to 2012 when Greg bought the business from Max, and then Greg started bringing his own kids to the store when they were 4 years old! Talk about FULL CIRCLE āļø That was 14 years ago today Greg took over the family business! WOW! 14years! FOURTEEN YEARS š¤Æ
While many things have changed in the storeā¦.including our latest āZHUZHINGā remodel, a new logo, and our new gift/home decor linesā¦ā¦one thing remains unchanged! We are still just a local run family business. We are still just a āmom and pop shopā that manage everything here in house. We buy the furniture with our customers in mind š¤ (not just the ever changing trends), we are the salesperson (even our newest employees have some deep roots in this community), we put our products together (yes sometimes itās Kenneth, but hey heās gotta start somewhere š¤·āāļø), we deliver our products š (we donāt subcontract out to a company and send strangers in your home), we are the ones you call if you have an issue because we repair warranty issues IN HOUSE! In other words we are in this for the long haul and want you our customers to have the BEST experience when shopping with us, because š hey we like our customers and we want to see you for all your home furniture needs (and now even that unique one of a kind gift youāre looking for š)
š This year we had the honor of being named Heber Springs Outstanding Business of the Year by the Heber Springs Chamber of Commerce, and wouldnāt you know it, Max was there accepting the award with Greg! Because without the leadership and the family values Max instilled upon Greg soooooo many years ago (yep Iām still aging him there) we would not be business or the family we are today! Thank you Heber Springs for giving us the opportunity to be your local furniture store family for the past 14 years! We are and will continue to be āThe family you know and trustā
