Another one we’re excited about!
We love when we get to do the architecture and interiors of our clients' homes. 🥰

This home is featured in the Western Carolina Parade of Homes, and every detail tells a story.

Hand-hewn timber beams
A backlit quartzite island
Custom millwork throughout

A sculptural curved staircase that anchors the whole home
Gather by the grand fireplace in the great room, then step out to golf course views framed by mature trees.

Luxury, warmth, and timeless design.

We're getting excited about this creekside house!
During Hurricane Helene, the water came up to the original cottage's front door threshold. The new house is above that high-water mark and is designed to withstand whatever Mother Nature has in store for us in the future.

Hey y’all, Rick here!
Some of you know that Tiffany and I work together, but we actually have two separate businesses. We often function like a design-build team, while Tiffany and her team also take on a variety of other projects and work with other contractors.

My business, The Prudent Home, is wrapping up a few big projects, which means we now have some availability this fall and winter.

We know how challenging it can be to find a reliable contractor, so if you have a project coming up—or know someone who does—feel free to reach out. We’d love to chat and see if we might be a good fit to work together!

We had a lot of interest in this house the last time I posted it. Here is a progress photo of the outside.
At one time, it was a summertime picnic pavilion!

Layered natural textures help the home settle seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, while expansive views from every room keep the connection to the outdoors front and center. Glass hallways link the living spaces together, creating the feeling of walking through the woods as you move throughout the home.

Once begins installing the landscape design, we’ll share more of this project.

Frank Lloyd Wright famously stated, "More and more, so it seems to me, light is the beautifier of the building".

Our Laurel Park house is almost done, and some amazing finishing touches are happening now, like this sconce from

It feels like the weather may have turned the corner! We'll see - WNC weather can be fickle!

Seems like the perfect time to share photos of this three-season room—an ideal space for this time of year. Our goal was to create a comfortable setting anchored by memorable furniture pieces. By layering a variety of finishes and rich textures, the space feels both cozy and airy, offering a relaxed place to unwind and enjoy your surroundings.
