Clean up from Helene and Milton is ongoing. We are collecting and piling mounds of debris from our yard. All wet and ruined items are out of the house and ready for when our county sends out dump trucks to my neighborhood. Gasoline is still not at the stations we still need responses from electricians to get power to the back of our house. Everyone is beyond busy. Installed a new hot water heater and ordered washer dryer to be delivered tomorrow. Be nice to have a warm shower but we are waiting like all our neighbors. Crying doesn’t get things done faster. But I’m really good at that part of the clean up process. My original art is on our piles of debris for pick up. My studio where I paint is destoyed. Heartbreaking

What a night. Milton tore up the Sarasota area from what I can tell. We are not back home yet after emergency mandatory evacuation yesterday. But soon we’ll check the roads on our route back home. Thanks for all your kind thoughts. More later.

FLORIDA WEST COAST Mandatory Evacuation order update. We are staying safe and have packed our bug out bags. The sheriff just drove by the house with a door to door mandatory evacuation order. We will leave later on today. Much to do in meantime. Dump trucks are trying to get through to our road to pick up ours and our neighbors piles of debris. Don’t worry. We are safe for now and plan on staying that way.
