**Questions we receive**
Are your products chemical/synthetic free? The ONLY chemical we use is sodium hydroxide (lye) in our soaps. Which is crucial - you can not make true soap without it! But once the saponification process is finished, there is no lye left. It has all mixed with the oils and butter to become soap. Our soaps undergo a complete open-air curing process for at least six weeks. During that time, the oils saponify and harden to produce a long-lasting, gently cleaning soap bar. We make a natural fragrance-free soap as well as a natural artisan soap that will have skin-safe fragrance oils added. We use herbs, clays and botanicals to color our soaps. We will at times use 24ct gold foil or gold mica as a special touch. How long do your products last? Our soaps can last up to 3 to 4 weeks with typical bathing. To give you an example our family of 7 showers twice per week, so that comes to 14 showers per week. Our 4oz soap bar lasts our family almost 4 weeks of bathing. It is advised to keep any handmade soap out of pooling water for longevity. Our whipped tallow/ shea/ lip balm products will generally last from 6-12 months if kept properly. What do we consider "properly"? Please keep them in a cool, dry place (don't leave them in a hot car in summer). As for how long they last while in use, depends on how often they are used. I have sensitive skin. Can I use your products? We started making our skincare products because our family suffers from eczema. We have many customers with sensitive skin that have used our products with great success. We believe chemicals, detergents, and synthetics bring many skin sensitivities to commercial skin care products. That is why we make our products without those irritation triggers and provide a natural approach to our skincare products, sourcing farm-fresh ingredients for those who have incredibly sensitive skin. All our artisan soaps that use skin-safe fragrance oils are used at a ratio consistent with the IFRA Standards rating number for that particular fragrance oil. Some usage ratios for skin products can be upwards to 23%. We chose to never go above 5% for our soaps. This reason is to limit skin irritants that can be associated with perfume oils.

Do you accept returns? Due to the nature of our products, we DO NOT accept the return of items that have been USED. However, we stand behind our products and are concerned about your satisfaction. We are happy to accept the return or exchange of any UNUSED, UNOPENED products and refund you the product(s) amount. We are pleased to receive a product return within 15 days of purchase.
