Update of what's going on for the holidays right now.

First off, yes, I am making stuff for the holiday season. Soaps can take about a month to cure. Because I'm a bit behind production schedule, a lot of it is going to be released intermittently through November. Mostly restocks but I am planning one holiday soap this year.

Second off, a lot of local friends are discovering me. Thank you all for your interest and patronage! One is even feeding me some ideas so we'll see how it pans out. If you're local and know me, you can always message me to buy directly from me. Etsy typically fees me through the roof and it saves on shipping.

My twitter is deactivated and honestly couldn't have happened at a better time. They now disabled links which was a big part of my advertisement over there. It's sad because I was able to build a solid customer base over there. However, it's been diminishing since Elon Musk took over and quite frankly, started ruining it. Now there's no point. If you can't link products, why even bother using that space?

I'll admit, I don't know what the next year has in store for me and this store. It's been a bit hard to upkeep whether it's time, money for projects or dwindling sales. Sometimes it makes a little hard to keep going. But I do have some obligations coming up and I'm hoping some new creative projects help re spark some motivation.

I better get going to soap making today. Will post updates on that!

We have new items in the shop! Some are seasonal, some are here to stay.

Expanding more into Star Trek, we have Space Trekin’ layered candles! They are 11 oz candles that come in glass containers. You have three choices currently:

Spaceship Sweater: the look is based on Wesley Crusher’s famous sweater. The scent is based on a cozy sweater but the tart & sweet nature of the teenaged character himself. Think Fruit Pie. Fresh Peach, Bosenberry, Tagerine, and Warm Vanilla Sugar.

Simple Tailor: the look is based on Emil Garak’s watermelon sweater he first appears in. The scent too and comes in two versions. One is just the original scent but the other’s second layer as a “hidden” gnarly scent. Much like the secret hidden behind our simple tailor. When burned through, it returns to the original scent.

The original scent is Sandalwood, Royal Orchid, Watermelon, and Fresh Pear.

The hidden gnarly layer is Leather, Cotton & Lavander, Blood, and a slight scent of rubbing Alcohol.

New month, new product/scent of the month. This month we're getting Shell Shocked with the Alex Shelley inspired scent Taste the Drift. Not only is this month his birthday month but it's also the birthday month of my collaborator on it Ashley Joanne Leckwold. She really loves Alex Shelley, y'all. I asked what she would want and she described "coffee shop and leather." So I ended up taking scents that I know from my years working in coffee shops (vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and chai), and added leather. She loved the results and it's been real popular as a soap over the years.

Launching some new candles this week!!! They're soy candles that come in 4 oz and 6 oz tins.

Our first one is a novelty scent: Candle of Death! Blood, barbed wire, sweat, wood and light tubes. Sometimes fire.These are the ingredients to make a death match. Candle of Death is inspired by this very brutal part of professional wrestling and it was fun bringing together this novelty scent.

Made with red liquid wax dye, soy wax, and fragrance oils, this candle's notes are:
Hemoglobin (Blood), Musk (Sweat), Gasoline - Low Octane (Fire), Forest Pine (Wood), and Ozone (Light Tubes)

Our next one is another Star Trek inspired piece. Caffe Klingon! Wake up and shout that it is a good day to die with our Raktajino inspired scent. This Klingon coffee powered the staff of Deep Space Nine through the retrofitting tech and the Dominion War. Known for its' intense kick, spice, and hair of the dog booze (though I have a feeling the replicators gave synthale).

Made with golden honey liquid dye, soy wax, and fragrance Oils, this candles notes are:

This week's behind the scenes is not so much behind the scenes but a release spring and summer release schedule.

Soaps:
I'm in the process of making bars. I have two more left to make. They should finish curing by mid May. All Bars are made with Sustainable Palm Oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter, Sustainable Palm Kernel Oil, Castor Oil, and Lye.

Right now those include:
A Regular Milk Bar: This is an unscented Cold Process Milk Bar. It's made from cow's milk instead of distilled water. This is made for those who might have an allergy to essential or fragrance oils.
Anxious Millennial Cowboy Soap: I made this with green instead my normal Purple, Yellow, and Pink but it looks pretty tripy.
Bashir Gear Scented: It finally came out okay!!! This is made with Brambleberry's Bergamot Black Tea Fragrance Oil (bergamot, lime, earl grey tea leaves, cucumber, beeswax, amber, and musk).
Garak Sweater: It's looking the colors I want. It's made with Brambleberry's Secret Garden fragrance oil (wild blackberries, lemon, mandarin, mimosa, jasmine, orange blossom, cedar, amber, and musk)
Wesley Sweater Scented and Unscented: The unscented has sold out for a bit but the new batch is coming in!!! The scented one turned out okay too. The scent will be Brambleberry's Cocoa Butter Cashmire fragrance oil ( light spices, cedarwood, vanilla tonka, coconut, jasmine, olive wood, sandalwood, amber, musk, and cocoa butter)

Restocking also Taste the Drift before it runs out.

CANDLES:

We also have two new candles coming out April 19th!!!

Raktajino - Our first Star Trek inspired candle is another coffee inspired scent. This time the notes are to invoke the Klingon coffee Raktajino. The scent notes are Turkish Coffee (duh), Kentucky Bourbon Coffee (because booze coffee), Chai(for the spice), and just a hint of Moonshine (only the strongest alcohol for the most honorable warriors).

Candle of Death - RIP CZW you would have loved this one. Inspired by Death Match wrestling and where CZW would hold Tournament of Death, this candle is definitely more of a novelty scent. It's notes are Hemogoblin (yes blood), Musk (sweat), Gasoline - Low Octane (FIRE FIRE), Ozone (light tubes), and Forest Pine (off to the Appalachian Range we go).

ZINES:

Oh snap, we're doing Zines. Release tbh in either late May or early June, we do have two zines heading your way.

We're have 30 Years of Christopher Daniels, a zine were I give you favorite matches of his spanning his 3 decade long career. And an untitled Trek Zine that will be about my trans journey and Star Trek.

Bath Bombs are another thing coming. They'll be some basic ones and you'll be seeing them release through out the summer time.

Introducing new sizes for our most popular candle!

Anxious Millennial Cowboy has and still is our best selling candle. In fact, when I first opened the shop: it sold out that day!
I made 8 candles of my original scents, thinking I wasn't going to sell out so quickly. Turns out, I was wrong.

Now why is this your best selling candle? Not only was this candle inspired by Adam Page (pro wrestling fans, I see you) but it has a sweet, not too overpowering smell people love. The notes are Warm Vanilla Sugar, Lemon, Leather, Sweet Grass, and Adriatic Fig. The sweetness of an Appalachian Farm house mixed with the farm work itself.

It has been sold 98 times in two different sizes (4 oz and 8 oz). The 8 oz was an option simply because the 4 oz just seemed so small. Now, as it continues to sell out, I now would like other sizes.

Behind the scenes this week is trying to get new product photos taken.

This has always been a challenge for me. I'm not a professional nor can I hire a professional currently. Not to mention that often times, I'm working on a bit of a weird schedule. So I've been learning to take better photos.

Obviously I'm not totally new at taking photos. I understand you need to have a clear present photo showing your product. I have a lightbox but I've been playing around with having more engaging backdrops.

Right now I have this set up which is a table cloth (you might have seen these at shows or previous candle making videos or even product photos before) and a table. Stuff comes out like this.

Obviously I will be tweaking it around some more but, I'm liking these a lot so far.
