Getting rid of the old single pane wood windows/storm windows and putting in double pane vinyl with LowE film and screens… Might not look like much of an upgrade but ease of use, energy efficiency, and the new look can improve nearly any property.

We encourage all of our friends and customers to find and like the new Superior Screen & Glass page on Facebook as Hickory Glass will soon be fulfilling its last few obligations to customers and seeing Tony Eckard fully engaging in his retirement!

Superior Screen & Glass will be operating in the same location as Hickory Glass and will be offering nearly all the same products and services. Andrew Latchford has started that company after having worked for Tony the last 3+ years. He would appreciate the continued support of Hickory and the surrounding communities.

Golf course living can put your window glass at risk. When a solution is required to combat inaccurate hitters, Lexan (polycarbonate sheets) may be the answer. The product does deteriorate faster when exposed to significant sunlight so that is a factor when choosing your means of protection.
We recently completed installation of repaired screens and Lexan panels for a customer who had north facing and shaded windows. This will provide a clear view of the course and prevent errant ball damage for many years to come. Plus it looks beautiful on the outside of their home!

This is an aluminum “pergola” with moveable beams that can be adjusted to specific angles or closed completely to create a covered space. When closed it will direct rain to the sides and down/out the post bases. More photos are in the comments below.

Before: Screen room with untreated trim boards, stapled fiberglass screens and vinyl screen doors.
After: Screen room is trimmed entirely with PVC stops and new PVC face boards, rotten baseboard replaced with vinyl boards, framed screens with Solarscreen 90 (sunblocking & privacy), and new aluminum screen doors.
