2 angles at this gorgeous oak island counter top.

Can’t wait to post the whole island and then- the whole kitchen!

It’s finally been a few weeks of beautiful weather and great temps in the shops.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m working very hard to get through all my orders that are due prior to Christmas and am looking forward to showing each piece off in due time!

Comment and let me know what you’d love to see me build next year!

Finished up a pair of black walnut nightstands and snapped a decent shop photo before getting them out to the clients (thanks Devin and Heidi!)

The natural grain in this walnut really comes to life with an oil finish. Simple, clean lines, solid wood construction, and a lower shelf for a little extra storage. Finished off with brass hardware for a clean, timeless look.

Custom furniture, built right here at DeWitt Woodworking in Hillsboro, IL.

Have an idea for a piece you’d like built? Send me a message and let’s talk about it.

Look at the insane difference a coat of hard wax oil makes.

From chalky brown to the crisp deep black walnut we all love. Shows all the grain pattern, still can feel the wood, yet it is protected and sealed for the long haul.

The week before finishing the bedroom project I just posted about, I built and completed these wood composite decking stairs with integrated low voltage lights.

This is outside my typical comfort zone so it was a great project to grow through and man, they look awesome!
