Mother’s Day weekend is here, and it would be a fine time to take a country drive and stop by Fox Creek Antiques & Primitives. These mint-condition 10- and 20-gallon crocks would be the perfect gift.

I’ll be up early again cleaning these crocks after pulling them out of an old cellar where they had been buried under years of dirt and dust. Nothing is better than bringing old treasures back to life.

We’ve also got a 1906 root beer syrup jar as well as other great Mother’s Day gifts. Take care, my friends, and I hope to see you this weekend!

I was sitting on my porch and noticed what looked like a small, dark fog rolling up the hollow—almost like a ball-shaped swarm of mosquitoes. But as I kept watching, I realized it was something entirely different… honey bees.

They moved together like a living cloud, circling the yard, trees, and garage. When the breeze picked up, they would scatter apart and then come right back together into that same perfect shape. The sound—the steady hum of their wings—was something I won’t forget.

After a while, they found an old wild honey bee box I had sitting behind the garage and began settling in.

It was truly something to witness. Moments like this remind me how much I love this place and every living thing that calls it home.

Just got home with a truck load of crocks, stone jars of all sizes and hens on the nest. Nothing has been cleaned yet, but will be by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Folks, I know nothing about hens on the nest, but I know these are older hens, so I thought maybe if you are a collector you could give me a fair offer on them( I have never seen one that glows). Lots of items are still boxed up, but will have it ready by tomorrow morning. Hopefully I will see you this weekend. Take care my friends
