๐ Earth left a voicemail:
"Hey, it's me. The planet. I've been trying to reach you about your Earth's extended warrantyโฆ just kidding. Kind of.
Listen โ I don't want to be dramatic, but things have been a little rough lately. The glaciers are melting faster than I'd like. The coral reefs are having a moment. The bees are filing complaints. And somewhere, a sea turtle is having a very bad day because of a straw that wasn't even his.
I know you're busy. I know it feels big and far away. But I also know you've surprised me before โ you cleaned up rivers people said were gone forever. You brought back species everyone had written off. You showed up when it mattered.
So I'm not calling to panic you. I'm calling because you're still my favourite species, and I'd really like to keep this going." ๐ฟ
Here's the thing โ right now, a lot of the protections that were quietly keeping things in balance are being quietly walked back. Environmental regulations. Conservation funding. Climate commitments. It's not loud. It's not dramatic.
But it's happening, and the planet feels it before the headlines do.
World Environment Day isn't just a hashtag. It's a reminder that the Earth doesn't care about news cycles โ she just keeps the score ๐
So today:
๐ฑ Plant something
โป๏ธ Ditch something
๐ Switch something
๐ฃ๏ธ Talk about something โ loudly, often, unapologetically
The hashtag is easy. The habit is the hard part. But hard parts are kind of our thing, aren't they?
The Earth hired us to take care of her. Let's not get fired ๐
