From orange oak to updated dark beauty! 🤎

This vintage oak dresser received a complete update and transformation! Stained in General Finishes water based stain in Espresso and finished with oil-rubbed bronze hardware, this piece has a totally different look, and I LOVE how it turned out!

And the best part? It has a matching dresser that I’ll be working on next, so stay tuned for the matching transformation!

This custom table I’m working on for a client has been painted a few times, and I knew it was at least mid-century! Thankfully, I tested it for lead before sanding. 😳

You just never know what’s hiding underneath those layers of paint—especially with vintage pieces. Safety first! Now let’s see what we uncover as this beauty gets a whole new life. ❤️

The top and bottom trim are finished in a beautiful neutral brown stain that perfectly complements the classic black painted body. Finished off with new antique brass hardware for the perfect touch.

Painting mirrors is definitely not my favorite project to tackle! I’ve tried just about every trick for taping off mirrors, but on this latest piece I had an idea… playing cards! 🃏

They slide right under the frame, have a smooth coating that keeps the paint from seeping through, and pull out clean when you’re done. Such a simple little hack that made a big difference!

I just might start taking on more mirror projects… maybe…..😉
