The entrance is the first thing people see, and the first thing they feel.

No two should ever look the same. It should say something about the person who lives there before they say anything themselves. This one, in a just finished Marina del Rey home, is sculptural and quiet and a little unexpected.

What does your entrance say about you?

A lot of you know us as interior designers for homes, but we also do commercial spaces. Here is one of our latest creations, a coffee shop concept from our Los Angeles studio, all in red.

Everyone is afraid of red. Clients always ask me to tone it down, use it as an accent, just a touch. This time I did the opposite. Red millwork, red seating, layered tones from floor to ceiling, then warm neutrals and soft lighting so it feels cozy instead of loud.

That’s the trick with strong color. It’s not how much you use, it’s how you balance it.

Swipe through the whole concept and save this one if you’re planning a cafe, a shop, or any commercial space where you want one color to carry the mood.

Just finished. A Marina del Rey kitchen designed to hold its own against the view.
Clean lines, warm materials, and everything in its place so the room stays calm while the marina does the talking. Swipe through the space.
Save this one if a kitchen is next on your list.

The last in-progress look at this Beverly Hills home before the full reveal.
Swipe two and you will see a reference photo taped to a half-finished wall. That taped print is the whole idea: warm wood against cool Calacatta, brushed gold, and a fluted marble wall that catches the light differently from morning to night. Every groove was cut and set by hand.
Nothing in this room is loud. It is meant to feel calm, considered, and quietly expensive. That is the standard we hold every project to, from the first mood board to the last fixture.
This is the end of the build series. The reveal is next. DM BUILD to be there when it drops.

There is a moment near the end of every project when the clutter is gone, the light lands right, and the room just exhales. This was that moment.
Room to move, room to think, room to live. That is the real luxury.

This fireplace used to disappear behind a TV and a wall of dated tile. Now it is the heart of the room.
Swipe from the very beginning. We stripped the entire wall back to the studs and rebuilt it as one sculptural, hand-troweled fluted plaster surface. No screen competing for attention. Just warmth, texture, and a place for the whole room to gather around.
A fireplace should be the thing you design a living room around, not an afterthought. Save this one for your own.

The final reveal of our Altadena Tudor.
A home that was lost to the fires is finished, and these are the rooms where it all comes to rest. Warm leather, mustard and clay, green tile that feels like water, hand-finished plaster, and light that softens everything it touches. Every choice was made to do one thing: make this house feel like home again, deeper than it ever did before.
This project will stay with us for a long time. Thank you for following it from ash to here.
If you are rebuilding and want it done with this kind of care, DM REBUILD.

Progress rarely looks like a home before it looks like a mess. Stacked trim, bare cabinetry, dust on the floor. But this is my favorite stage, because this is the moment the design stops being a drawing and starts being real. Every door, every built-in, every line was decided long before it got here. Save this one. The after is worth the wait.

A Beverly Hills home, taken to the studs and rebuilt around one idea: arrival.
Swipe through and you will see the same spiral staircase twice. Once as raw plywood and scaffolding. Once as black marble wrapped in a sculpted glass rail, lit by a chandelier that drops through the full height of the home.
Nothing here is accidental. The curve of the rail, the depth of the bay window, the quiet of the primary bath. Every line was decided long before the first finish went in. That is the part most people never see, and the part that makes a space feel inevitable.
Follow the whole build. DM BUILD.

A Santa Monica primary bedroom, from dated and dim to calm, warm, and intentional.
Swipe from the very beginning. We took the room back to the studs, built a white oak slat ceiling and feature wall by hand, and layered in soft boucle, warm linen, and quiet light. The goal was never just pretty. It was a room that actually lets you exhale at the end of the day.
This is the kind of transformation we live for. Save this one for your own bedroom.
